Benchmarks & Audits

On VirtEngine, reputation is not a star rating in a database someone else controls. It is on-chain evidence — attestations, measurements, and reviews tied to verified identities — and tenants filter orders by it.

Independent auditors publish signed attestations about your provider record: that your infrastructure, practices, or compliance posture meet a defined bar. Because tenants can require audited providers in their orders, an audit attestation is effectively a license to bid on a segment of the market. Attestations are living objects — they can be revoked or superseded, so staying audited is an ongoing obligation.

Benchmark results are recorded on-chain, converting performance claims into verifiable data. Benchmarks matter twice:

  1. Selection — tenants weigh benchmark data when evaluating bids.
  2. Verification — a provider whose delivered performance diverges from its benchmarked profile invites disputes and fraud scrutiny.

Tenants review providers they have actually leased from. Reviews are tied to verified VEID identities and real lease history, which makes both fake praise and drive-by sabotage expensive to fake.

SignalMarket effect
Valid audit attestationQualify for audit-gated orders (often the highest-value segment)
Strong benchmarksWin bids at higher prices than unbenchmarked competitors
Positive review historyReduce tenant risk perception; improve match rates
Revoked audit / poor reviewsShrinking qualified order set; price pressure
  • Get audited before you need it. Audit-gated orders won’t wait for your audit to complete.
  • Benchmark honestly. Benchmarks you can’t sustain in production create reconciliation discrepancies — and discrepancies above 25% block settlement outright.
  • Treat reviews as telemetry. Recurring review complaints usually predict future disputes; fix the cause before it reaches the dispute workflow.
  • Keep your provider attributes current. Stale region, capability, or endpoint data causes failed deployments, and failed deployments become reviews.
